Founded in 1997, the Castine Education Foundation’s purpose is to supplement the publicly funded academic resources for the Town’s students. Primary funding comes from generous individuals, estates, area businesses, clubs and civic organizations.

CEF is proud to fund a handful of academic causes throughout Castine. Grants can be requested by and given to an individual student, a classroom teacher, or an organization to aid in deeper academic and educational pursuits.
